Wild and wooly: Rangers 2, Caps 1 after 1
Certainly more entertaining in 20 minutes than entire St. Louis loss.
Brian Boyle, with two goals---the second on dman Karl Alzner's fan on the power play at 12:56---gave the Rangers the lead. He has seven on the year. Brooks Laich had tied the game on the PP at 8:52 on a deflection as the Caps passed the puck around effortlessly.
If the penalties continue---and the chippiness is obvious---special teams will determine this one.
Shots are 14-11 Caps.
Fans have to love the way the Rangers are standing up for themselves and each other. Boyle for Del Zotto, Sauer for Eminger, Dubinsky going with Green at 5:17, Callahan scrapping with Ovechkin.
