Indians activate Kerry Wood

The Indians activated reliever Kerry Wood from the disabled list and sent pitcher Jensen Lewis to the minor leagues. Wood made just two rehab appearances. He allowed six runs in the first one and struck out two with one walk in a scoreless inning in the next one. Expect Wood to return to the closer role quickly and if he's available in your league, pick him up. Wood has been on the disabled list since April 3 with a strained lat muscle.
