Is Lance Berkman back?

Lance Berkman was getting very little love in fantasy baseball drafts. He looked awful in the spring and hasn't played the outfield for several seasons and he is back to the outfield now that he's with the Cardinals.

Berkman was batting .214 on April 9, but has been on fire since. He hit a pair of home runs Friday night against the Dodgers and is batting .327. Since that day, he's 10-for-21 with nine runs, all of his six home runs, and 12 RBIs.

Berkman is in a great position to drive in runs hitting behind Colby Rasmus, Albert Pujols, and Matt Holliday. The big issue is durability and it's doubtful he can hold up for the whole season. Berkman still hits a lot of groundballs and he cannot hit lefthanders. He's 0-for-7 this season and batted .171 against lefties in 82 at-bats last season and .231 in 168 at-bats two years ago. Berkman could hit 20 home runs, but now is the best time to try and deal him.
