Jordan Walden to close for Angels
We already have a change at closer less than one week into the season. Manager Mike Scioscia has temporarily removed Fernando Rodney as closer and Jordan Walden will take the job for now. Rodney has always exhibited poor control and he was awful against the Royals on Sunday. He walked three, allowed one hit, and allowed two runs in 1/3 inning to blow a save. The 23-year-old Walden has 28 strikeouts in 17 2/3 major league innings. Pick up Walden in all formats.
