After a lackluster first half, the Knicks managed to take Boston down to the wire in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals at Madison Square Garden.
It ended up being too little, too late, though, as the Celtics topped New York, 101-89, finishing off the four-game sweep.
Anthony Carter's swarming defense and 11 points off the bench keyed the late Knicks rally.
Carmelo Anthony added 29 points, and Amar'e Stoudemire, despite back issues, scored 19.
Kevin Garnett led the Celtics with 26 points. Rajon Rondo finished with 21 points and 12 assists.
