The Rangers placed closer Neftali Feliz on the 15-day disabled list yesterday with shoulder inflammation. The Rangers say it isn't serious and they are just being cautious with a young pitcher early in the season.

The Rangers will give Darren Oliver most of the save opportunities. In the first save chance last night, Oliver was called on to close it out with a 3-1 lead. He pitched a 1-2-3 inning and recorded a strikeout. He may only be in the role for two weeks, but he's likely going to get the majority of the save chances so pick him up in all leagues.

Ryan Madson picked up a save Friday night. Certainly understandable since Jose Contreras pitched four of the previous five days. But then Madson picked up another save Saturday night. What's going on? Contreras threw 72 pitches in that four game stretch so manager Charlie Manuel said he wanted to give him an extra day. Manuel said Contreras is available to pitch today, but this makes Madson rosterable in mixed leagues.
