Rangers make moves at catcher
The Rangers have received very little offense from their catchers and shook things up today by recalling Max Ramirez. Taylor Teagarden was sent to Triple-A and Jarrod Saltalamacchia was activated from the disabled list and sent to Triple-A.
Ramirez will split time with Matt Treanor. Ramirez was hitting .289 with four RBIs in 45 at-bats at Triple-A. He's a good pickup in AL-only leagues.
The Rangers want Saltalamacchia to prove he can stay healthy after being plagued by a back injury. He has to spend 10 days in Triple-A. Expect him to be back soon. Teagarden was just 1-for-27 with 17 strikeouts.
