Parade Sunday for Smithtown-St. James Little League team

A celebration parade for the Smithtown-St. James 12U Little League baseball team is scheduled for Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in downtown Smithtown team officials announced. The parade commences at the Millennium Diner at the corner of Route 111` and E. Main Street, and proceeds west a few blocks to the Smithtown Town Hall where the team will be honored.

The team’s bid to earn a spot in next week’s Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania ended Friday night when the Bulls lost in the championship game of the Metro Region Tournament in Bristol, Connecticut.
