to No. 1-ranked Duke
Derwin Kitchen scored 22 points as Florida State snapped No. 1 Duke's 25-game winning streak with a 66-61 upset Wednesday night in Tallahassee. Florida State (12-5, 2-1 ACC) made five free throws in the final 33 seconds to hold off the defending national champs. It was the third time in the last nine seasons that the Seminoles have upset a top-ranked Duke team at home.
Kyle Singler had 20 points and Nolan Smith had 19 for Duke (15-1, 2-1), which shot only 31.1 percent.

Marcus Morris had career highs with 33 points and 13 rebounds as No. 3 Kansas beat Iowa State, 84-79, to win its 20th straight Big 12 opener . . . Ashton Gibbs scored 22 points as No. 5 Pittsburgh stayed unbeaten in the Big East with a 72-57 win over No. 22 Georgetown . . . Corey Stokes scored 23 points to lead No. 7 Villanova to its 10th straight win, 88-74, over No. 18 Louisville . . . William Buford scored 19 points and No. 2 Ohio State turned back Michigan, 68-64.

Alex Goligoski scored twice and added an assist, and the Penguins scored four power-play goals to end a three-game losing streak with a 5-2 win over the host Canadiens. Pittsburgh won without Sidney Crosby in the lineup for the first time since he suffered a concussion six days ago.
POLICEFavre's sister arrested
Police say the 34-year-old sister of Vikings quarterback Brett Favre faces drug charges after she was arrested in a raid on a Mississippi condo where people were making crystal methamphetamine. Police said Brandi Favre was among five arrested in Diamondhead and that she will be charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and generating hazardous waste. - AP
