Nets trip Hawks
Devin Harris had 22 points and eight assists, and Brook Lopez scored 16 points to lead the host Nets to an 89-82 victory over the Atlanta Hawks Sunday. The Nets (8-20) also beat Atlanta (17-12) in Newark on Nov. 23, 107-101, in overtime.
The Hawks lost for the fourth time in six games.
The Nets scored seven straight early in the fourth quarter to break a 64-64 tie.
Pierce has triple-double
Paul Pierce had his seventh career triple-double, 18 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds, as host Boston extended its winning streak to 13 games by holding off the Pacers, 99-88. Former Knick Nate Robinson had 18 points starting at point guard for the injured Rajon Rondo. Shaquille O'Neal had 11 points after missing four games with a sore right calf . . . Kobe Bryant scored 20 points, Pau Gasol 19 and the Lakers got 57 points from their bench in a 120-110 victory at Toronto . . . Will Bynum's driving layup with 7.4 seconds left in overtime helped host Detroit to a 111-108 victory over New Orleans . . . Kevin Martin scored 22 points and Houston limited host Sacramento to four points in the final 9:09 on the way to a 102-93 victory.

Els wins in Durban
Ernie Els won the South African Open in Durban for the fifth time, shooting 6-under-par 66 to beat Retief Goosen by one shot in a tournament shortened to 17 holes for each of the final two rounds because of a waterlogged fourth hole.
Stars top Wings in OT
Loui Eriksson scored at 4:18 of overtime to give Dallas a 4-3 comeback victory over host Detroit in a game between the top two teams in the West.- AP
