Woods interviewed
about charged doctor?
A person familiar with a federal investigation of a Canadian doctor accused of distributing human growth hormone says Tiger Woods has been interviewed in the case. The person spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity because the investigation of Dr. Anthony Galea is ongoing. Woods previously has said he's been treated by Galea, but did not receive any performance-enhancing drugs.
FOOTBALLRex will write bookRex Ryan, already headed to HBO, is writing a book, too. The Jets coach is penning a book that will combine autobiography and football strategy. Doubleday acquired the untitled book's North American rights and plans to publish it in spring 2011. Ryan, whose Jets will be featured on HBO's "Hard Knocks" training camp series this summer, will write the book with Don Yaeger, a former Sports Illustrated editor.
Cunningham son, 2, dies
The 2-year-old son of former NFL star quarterback Randall Cunningham has died in what authorities called an apparent backyard hot tub accident in Las Vegas. The Clark County coroner's office identified the child as Christian Cunningham, and said the cause of death was pending. Las Vegas police Officer Marcus Martin, a department spokesman, said the death appeared to have been an accidental drowning, but authorities were still investigating. Cunningham, 47, is pastor of a church in Las Vegas.
