Kentucky will lose

a bunch to draft

Freshman All-Americans John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins are among five Kentucky players who have declared for the NBA draft. Junior forward Patrick Patterson, freshman guard Eric Bledsoe and freshman center Daniel Orton are also entering the draft. Wall and Cousins are expected to be among the first few players selected. The five player comprised the core of a team that went 35-3.

Ohio State's Evan Turner is skipping his senior season for the draft. The 6-7 point guard is expected to be a top-three pick. Cincinnati freshman guard Lance Stephenson, of Lincoln High School in Brooklyn, will enter the draft. Kansas freshman guard Xavier Henry is also leaving. He will be the Jayhawks' first one-and-done player.

Wake fires Gaudio

Wake Forest fired men's basketball coach Dino Gaudio after three seasons. Gaudio was a combined 1-5 in Atlantic Coast Conference and NCAA Tournament games. He was 61-31 since he was hired in 2007.

Roethlisberger probe

Authorities in Milledgeville, Ga., have finished their investigation into a 20-year-old college student's claim that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger sexually assaulted her at a nightclub, police said. Police Chief Woodrow Blue said in a statement that his department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation handed the investigation report to local District Attorney Fred Bright.

Bayern Munich knocked Manchester United out of the Champions League though it lost, 3-2, in the return leg. But the aggregate score was 5-5 and Bayern advanced on the away-goals rule. - AP
