Paterno's family wants

emails in probe released

The late Joe Paterno's family Monday called on former FBI director Louis Freeh and the Pennsylvania attorney general to release all emails and records related to their investigations into the Penn State child sex abuse scandal.

Family attorney Wick Sollers' statement comes after reports of leaked emails between administrators about a graduate assistant's 2001 account of an encounter between former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky and a boy in the showers. Sandusky was convicted June 22 of 45 counts of sex abuse of boys.

Sollers said it's clear someone in authority was not interested in a thorough investigation, given the selective leaks of emails. -- APCOURTS

Mobley seeks damages in new complaint vs. Knicks

Cuttino Mobley filed an amended complaint in federal court against Madison Square Garden, L.P., in the dispute over his heart condition.

U.S. District Judge Deborah A. Batts on June 14 dismissed Mobley's discrimination lawsuit against the Knicks for waiving him. Mobley originally alleged that the Knicks "forced him to retire against his will'' after acquiring him from the Clippers in 2008. He was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in 1999 and played his 11-season NBA career with the condition.

In the amended complaint, he wants to be made "whole for all earnings and other benefits he would have received, including wages, bonuses, pension and stock options."

The Knicks declined to comment. NFL
