Pierre-Paul fined $10G

Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul was fined $10,000 for a roughing-the-passer penalty against Ryan Fitzpatrick in Sunday's win over the Bills. The league also fined Bills WR Stevie Johnson for a face mask penalty against Corey Webster when the Giants cornerback came down with his second interception of the game.

Kreutz quits Saints

Center Olin Kreutz told the Saints that he is quitting because he lost his passion for football. He was a Pro Bowler with Chicago before signing a one-year contract with New Orleans.

BOXINGHopkins gets title back The WBC has returned the light heavyweight championship to Bernard Hopkins after declaring his bout with Chad Dawson a technical draw. Hopkins was knocked out for the first time in his career Saturday night when Dawson lifted him and tossed him to the canvas late in the second round, injuring the 46-year-old champion's shoulder.

Storm's Stevens injured

St. John's forward Da'Shena Stevens will be sidelined for four to six weeks with a left knee injury suffered in the offseason. Stevens was the second leading scorer last season, averaging 11.8 points. -- APMEDIAFox gets World Cup

Fox will succeed ESPN as the English-language network for the soccer World Cup in 2018 and '22, the network announced. Telemundo will succeed Univision as the Spanish-language rights holder in the U.S. ESPN, which will show the '14 event in Brazil, said in a statement, "We were aggressive while remaining prudent from a business perspective." The '18 and '22 tournaments are in Russia and Qatar.
