Dubinsky set for hearing
Rangers forward Brandon Dubinsky will appear at an NHL arbitration hearing this morning in Toronto, barring an improbable 11th-hour settlement. Dubinsky, 25, was the Rangers' leading scorer last season with 54 points, but talks on a new deal for the restricted free agent stalled. It is believed that Dubinsky, who was paid $2 million last season, was seeking far more than $4 million per year in a long-term deal.
TOUR DE FRANCEHagan wins 17th stage
Edvald Boasson Hagen of Norway won the 17th stage of the Tour de France, the first of three days in the Alps, while Thomas Voeckler retained the yellow jersey but lost time after riding off course on the final descent. Voeckler lost 27 seconds and is 1 minute, 18 seconds ahead of Cadel Evans.
Wife of Pats' Kraft dies
Myra Kraft, 68, the wife of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, died Wednesday of cancer, the team said in a statement.

NIT pairings set
Syracuse, Oklahoma State, Virginia Tech and Stanford will be the hosts for the opening doubleheaders of the 2011 NIT Season Tip-Off. The first two rounds will be Nov. 14-16. The semifinals and finals are at Madison Square Garden Nov. 23 and 25.
