HORSE RACINGKentucky bans trainer Dutrow

The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission Wednesday unanimously denied Kentucky Derby-winning trainer Rick Dutrow a license to race in the state in 2011. KHRC executive director Lisa Underwood cited Dutrow's "consistent disregard for the rules of racing." The ruling will prevent Amen Hallelujah and Court Vision, both co-owned by Long Island-based IEAH Stables, from running in stakes at Keeneland Thursday and Friday. The New York State Racing and Wagering Board suspended Dutrow twice in February for drug violations. It will meet again next month to decide whether to revoke his license.

COURTSValet sues LeBron's mother

A valet at a Miami Beach hotel filed a lawsuit against the mother of Miami Heat star LeBron James, claiming she verbally abused and assaulted him. Gloria James was arrested April 7 on charges of simple battery and disorderly intoxication. The valet, Rock Feller Sorel, claimed Gloria James became upset because it was taking too long to deliver her car at the posh Fountainbleau hotel, Miami police said. Several witnesses supported Sorel's account. Sorel is seeking more than $15,000 in damages.

Titans' Britt arrested in N.J.

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt was arrested in his hometown of Bayonne, N.J., after an officer reported seeing him speeding. Britt, 22, faces charges of eluding the officer, hindering apprehension and obstructing governmental function.

Schalke ousts Inter Milan

German club Schalke completed its surprise ouster of defending champion Inter Milan from the Champions League with a 2-1 home victory after winning the first leg of the quarterfinal, 5-2. Schalke will now take on Manchester United in the semifinals. Real Madrid defeated Tottenham, 1-0, and moves to the semis, where it will face league rival Barcelona. -- AP
