Storm wins championship
The Seattle Storm completed its undefeated march through the postseason, beating the host Atlanta Dream, 87-84, last night for a three-game sweep in the WNBA finals. Swin Cash led a balanced Seattle offense with 18 points as the Storm overcame 35 points by Atlanta's Angel McCoughtry. Seattle won each of its seven postseason games for its second WNBA title.
COURTSBoxer Mayweather hit
with new charges
Floyd Mayweather Jr. was hit with three more felony charges in a domestic violence case that already had him facing a theft charge. Clark County District Attorney David Roger significantly raised the ante in the case, alleging that Mayweather hit and threatened the life of his former girlfriend, Josie Harris, and threatened to beat two of their children during an argument at the woman's Las Vegas home a week ago.

U.S. faces Colombia
American Mardy Fish will face Colombian Alejandro Falla in the opening singles match of the Davis Cup playoff Friday between the United States and Colombia in Bogota. The second singles match has American Sam Querrey against Santiago Giraldo. U.S. Captain Patrick McEnroe selected John Isner and Ryan Harrison to face Carlos Salamanca and Robert Farah in tomorrow's doubles.SOCCER
Red Bulls get a gift tie
The visiting Red Bulls benefited from an own goal by Dallas' Jair Benitez in the 82d minute to pull out a 2-2 draw. Mehdi Ballouchy scored for the Red Bulls in the 48th minute. - AP
