MEDIAFrancesa ending Sunday
night wrap-up show
Mike Francesa has decided to end his Sunday night sports wrap-up show, "Mike'd Up,'' after seven years, a person familiar with his plans said. It is not yet clear what WNBC-TV will do with the time slot.
Francesa, whose ratings generally were strong, had cut back drastically on his TV schedule this past season, from 36 weeks to 24, citing a desire to have more time with his family on weekends. Bruce Beck long has hosted in his absence.
NFLSides to meet today
Attorneys for the NFL and the league's players continued discussing details of a new collective-bargaining agreement Tuesday, and a full contingent of negotiators for both sides will continue talks Wednesday in New York in a bid to reach a deal that would prevent the cancellation of preseason games.

A day after returning to Saratoga, the 3-year-old colt Uncle Mo galloped 11/4 miles on the Oklahoma training track. "He galloped well this morning," trainer Todd Pletcher told the Daily Racing Form's website. "We'll give him a steady series of gallops and get a line on his fitness level and come up with a game plan."
