Na cards 16 on a par 4 at Texas Open, shoots 80

Kevin Na will remember the ninth hole at the Texas Open for a long time. The South Korean set a record for the worst par-4 score in a PGA Tour event, shooting a 16. Na hit his first tee shot into the woods and declared it unplayable. He went back to the tee (with a one- stroke penalty) and hit it in the same spot. He tried to play it from there and in the process incurred a two-stroke penalty after the ball ricocheted off a tree and struck him. Na ended the first round thinking he shot a 15 on the hole. But another stroke was added after Na reviewed the video replay before signing his scorecard. He finished the round with an 8-over 80 with nines of 47-33. The worst single-hole score at a PGA Tour event belongs to John Daly, who had an 18 on the par-5 sixth hole at Bay Hill in 1998.

HORSE RACING

Dutrow horses 'switched'

The Kentucky Horse Racing Commission allowed owners for Amen Hallelujah and Court Vision to switch trainers from Rick Dutrow to Justin Sallusto Thursday afternoon, shortly after a circuit court judge granted a temporary injunction. Long Island-based IEAH Stables co-owns both horses. Amen Hallelujah ran second and earned $60,000 in the Grade I Vinery Madison at Keeneland after the New Jersey-based Sallusto was granted a license. He also will be Court Vision's trainer of record Friday in the Maker's Mark Mile. The decision came after legal wrangling between Dutrow and Kentucky officials, who denied Dutrow a license Wednesday for "consistent disregard for the rules of racing."

A person familiar with the decision says the Los Angeles Lakers and Phil Jackson each have been fined $75,000 for comments the coach made about collective bargaining. The person spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity because the league will not announce the fines. -- AP
