LONG ISLAND CARES
Long Island Cares | The Harry Chapin Regional Food Bank is on a mission to feed Long Islanders facing food insecurity and address its root causes. Their goals are to improve food security for families, sponsor programs that help families achieve self-sufficiency, and educate the public about the root causes and consequences of hunger on Long Island.

Summer is often associated with rest and ease, but for many food-insecure families on Long Island, it brings added strain. This year, more than 71,000 Long Island children are expected to experience a "summer hunger gap."

Long Island Cares is committed to bringing together all available resources for the benefit of the hungry and food insecure on Long Island and, to the best of their ability, providing for the humanitarian needs of our community.
