Big stars on board for Broadway cruises

The Great White Way is about to meet the deep blue sea. Several of Broadway's biggest names, including Jeremy Jordan, Laura Benanti, Alan Cumming, Christine Ebersole and Andrea McArdle are on board for Broadway-themed cruises happening this year.
Jordan, Benanti and Cumming are among the performers on tap for the inaugural Broadway Cruise from Oct. 10 to 14, which will sail from New York City to Bermuda. Also taking part in the four-night cruise aboard the Norwegian Pearl are Sierra Boggess, Norbert Leo Butz, Lena Hall, Norm Lewis and "Mean Girls" alumnus Taylor Louderman. Passengers can mingle with their Broadway favorites at meet and greets and see them in action during live shows on the main pool deck and in nightly themed concerts.
Guests can learn all of the secrets and back stories of their favorite shows during curated interactive panel discussions with theater professionals from costume designers to casting directors. Trivia buffs can test their Broadway smarts during playwright and record producer Billy Rosenfield's nightly interactive game shows. And start brushing up on your rendition of "Defying Gravity" so you'll be ready for Broadway karaoke.

Not to be outdone, Seth Rudetsky, the North Woodmere-raised co-writer of the musical "Disaster!," will host "Seth's Big Fat Broadway Vacation," a 10-day cruise to the Adriatic and Greek Isles on the Seven Seas Voyager from June 14 to 24. Ebersole, McArdle and Laura Lee Bundy will joining Rudetsky for the excursion, which will begin and end in Venice, Italy, and stop at eight ports of call, including Corfu, Santorini and Mikonos.
Rudetsky has four other cruises scheduled, including excursions to Bermuda and Newport, Rhode Island, on the Celebrity Summit (July 12-19); Transatlantic Broadway on the Queen Mary 2 from New York to Southampton, England (Oct. 22-30); Key West and Grand Cayman on the Celebrity Apex (Feb. 13-20), and the Norwegian fjords on the Celebrity Reflection (July 11-18, 2021).
Entertainers lined up for the other cruises include La Chanze, Lillias White, Faith Prince and Victoria Clark.
