Cholera spreads to Florida
Earlier this week, the Dominican Republic confirmed its first case of cholera, attributing the infection as having spread from the epidemic in Haiti, where more than 1,100 have died and 18,000 have been hospitalized.
And now, a woman who recently traveled to Haiti was diagnosed with cholera in Florida, but a department of health spokesperson told CNN the situation "is not a major public health concern" for those living and traveling to the state.
