A day trip to a local hotel can feel like a mini vacation, whether the appeal is some time by the pool, a day at the spa or dinner at the on-site restaurant. Here are some Long Island hotels that offer day pass access to their luxury amenities.
Gurney's Montauk

Hungry visitors can dine in Gigi's Montauk New American restaurant at Gurney's. For guests seeking pampering, the attraction is its Seawater Spa, equipped with an ocean-fed seawater pool, a bathhouse and thalassotherapy treatments, all of which can be accessed with a day pass or by booking a spa treatment of 60 minutes or longer in one of the 19 treatment rooms, including a Himalayan salt room. Day pass holders can take a fitness class like yoga or Pilates out on the spa’s rooftop deck or dine on its Atlantic Ocean-side private beach at Gurney’s Beach Club’s walk-up bar.

Hotel Indigo East End

Positioned at the end of the Long Island Expressway where the forks split, this luxury hotel is within driving distance of the Hamptons and the North Fork. Guests can spend a day here too, as it offers day passes starting at $50, day rooms beginning at $200 and private cabanas for the day starting at $250, which include pool access. For $150, you can enjoy its daily brunch and access the pool, plus receive a $50 credit for brunch. Bottle service also is available for cabana users, and a DJ will be spinning on select Sundays (June 28, July 26, Aug. 30). There’s live music Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m., Fridays from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 6 to 9 p.m.

Canoe Place Inn and Cottages

The one-time location of the iconic Hamptons nightclub CPI, Canoe Place Inn is home to a luxury hotel equipped with a restaurant, a full-service spa, a fitness center and a heated outdoor pool. Guests can order food and drinks poolside, and a daybed can be reserved for $500 for a maximum of four adults, with a $150 minimum for additional food and beverage service. Treatments available at the SummetBeauty Spa include various massages, body treatments and facials.
Cost Day passes to the pool are available from 8 a.m. to dusk starting at $125 and include a $50 food and beverage credit valid on the pool menu Resort Pass.
