Free in NYC this weekend

Heading into the city? Keep your money in your wallet. Here are the best of the upcoming freebies and deals:

Movie

Pack a picnic (no outside alcohol) and blanket and head to the Intrepid (Pier 86, West 46th Street and 12th Avenue) for a free outdoor movie night Friday. "ET: The Extra Terrestrial" will be playing under the stars. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the movie will start at sunset, weather permitting. Arrive early because space is limited.

Concert

Manhattan Inn (632 Manhattan Ave., Brooklyn) is continuing its free summer concert series Sunday with a Melissa Hughes and Matt Marks show at 10:30 p.m. Just show up.

Arcade

Get your game on at Dave & Buster's in Times Square (234 W. 42nd St.) this weekend with a free $10 play coupon. Print yours here.

Food

The Brews & Blues BBQ runs all afternoon Saturday on the beach at Governors Island. Admission and ferry service to the island are free, and the festivities will be under way from noon to 6 p.m. Sixpoint Craft Ales will be showcasing its Crisp Lager, Brevity Wit, Bengali Tiger IPA, Sweet Action, Signal IPA and RED beers, plus some creative beer-infused foods, and Guitar Pete will provide entertainment.
