MoMA to exhibit Munch's 'The Scream'

You had the poster on your dorm-room wall, and soon you can see the real thing in person.
One of the world's best-known artworks, Edvard Munch's "The Scream" (1895), will be on display at New York's MoMA, the museum announced Tuesday.
The pastel-on-board work -- one of four versions Munch created of "The Scream" -- will be on loan from a private collector Oct. 24 through April 29.
"Of the four versions of 'The Scream' made by Munch between 1893 and 1910, this pastel-on-board from 1895 is the only one remaining in private hands. The three other versions are in the collections of museums in Norway," the MoMA stated in a release.
Other notable upcoming exhibits at the MoMA include "Inventing Abstraction, 1910-1925" (Dec. 23 to April 15).
