The company planning to use a cruise ship as a floating hotel during the Vancouver Olympics said this week it's scuttling the idea, citing slow sales and higher-than-anticipated expenses. Newwest Special Projects said it would issue refunds to those who had booked rooms on the Norwegian Star and help people find other accommodations. The company did not say how many people the cancellation affects.
