Preferred Starwood guests choose check-out
Starwood's promotion allows you to pay the dollar amount of the year you were born on your second (and possibly third) consecutive nights of a stay at participating Starwood properties, including Sheraton, Westin, Four Points, Aloft, Le Meridien, Element and W Hotels. So long, 3 p.m. check-in and 11 a.m. checkout times -- at least, for some of us. The Starwood Preferred Guest program just rolled out new perks for frequent travelers including "Your24," a perk that lets members who stay 75 or more nights a year choose their own check-in and checkout times. It means that eligible rewards members who, say, arrive at 8 p.m. may keep their room until 8 p.m. on the day of their departure. Details at spg.com.
