Tour Vietnam, meet Pope Francis and other travel deals

Perillo Tours' Italy Vacations is offering a "Meet Pope Francis" tour. The six-day, five-night trip starts at $879 a person, based on double occupancy, and includes a visit to St. Peter's Square for a seat at a papal audience, with an apostolic blessing by Pope Francis. Also on the itinerary are tours of St. Peter's basilica and the Vatican Museums (including the Sistine Chapel) and a day trip to Orvieto and Assisi, city of St. Francis. The deal includes five nights at a three-star hotel in Rome plus daily breakfasts; airfare is separate.
Save $500 a person on Overseas Adventure Travel's Inside Vietnam trip. The 18-day, land-only package starts at $1,995 a person double or single -- $500 less than 2012 rates -- and includes three nights' accommodations in Hanoi, one night on a private junk in Halong Bay, two nights in Hue, two nights in Hoi An, two nights in Nha Trang, two nights in Dalat, three nights in Ho Chi Minh City and two nights in Bangkok, most meals, small-group activities, all land transportation and five internal flights, guide and taxes. Depart October-December.
