Walk-ins OK at passport offices March 10
A passport is now virtually a "must" for anyone who ever wants to fly anywhere outside the United States (to be fully accurate, anyone who wants to fly back into the United States after visiting any other country). Credit: iStockphoto
PASSPORT DAY On Saturday, March 10, regional passport agencies around the country will be open for walk-ins who want to apply for a passport in person (normally, appointments are required and can be difficult to secure). Standard processing times and fees apply -- $60 expedited service is also available. Details at travel.state.gov.
