Huntington honors heroes, first responders in 9/11 ceremony
The Town of Huntington held a 9/11 ceremony on Sunday at Heckscher Park to honor those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, or as a result of 9/11-related illnesses. Town Supervisor Chad Lupinacci said the ceremony was being held on Sept. 12 because that was the day 20 years ago that Americans woke up bonded in ways we had never been before.
