BOARDS & ASSOCIATIONS
Family Service League in Huntington has announced new members on the executive committee of the board of directors. Edward Flint was elected vice-chairperson. He is a partner in the Jericho law firm Silverman Acampora and lives in Huntington. Francine Whitehead was also elected vice-chairperson. She is a former Huntington School District board of education member and has served on the Family Service League's board since 2004. She is a Huntington resident.

Joy Privitera has been elected Long Island regional director of the New York State Organization of Bursars and Business Administrators. She is the bursar at St. Joseph's College in Patchogue and lives in Remsenburg.

Daniel C. O'Donnell of West Islip has been named to the board of trustees of The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation in West Islip. He is president of portfolio management at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Manhattan.

ENGINEERING
Richard Schmalz has joined The LiRo Group, a Syosset-based design and construction management firm, as vice president and will head its engineering design division. The Rocky Point resident was most recently vice president, New York civil manager at PB Americas in Manhattan.

EYEWEAR
Dan McCall has joined ClearVision Optical, a Hauppauge-based designer and distributor of eyewear, as chief sales officer, a recently developed position. The Northport resident was most recently chief operating officer and co-founder of Avidas Pharmaceuticals in Doylestown, Pa.

FINANCE

NONPROFIT
Libby Zimmer has joined The Partnership at Drugfree.org as senior vice president and director of development. The Port Washington resident recently held a similar position at The Maurer Foundation for Breast Health in Mineola.

RISK MANAGEMENT
Brian M. Laibach has joined Chernoff Diamond & Co. in Garden City as senior benefits consultant in the firm's retirement plan services division. The Wantagh resident was recently a financial adviser at Chase Investment Services Corp. in Brooklyn.

REAL ESTATE
Steve Kastan has joined Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage's Locust Valley office as a sales agent. The Glen Cove resident most recently owned and operated Paint Tech America in Glen Cove.

UTILITIES
Nick Lizanich has been appointed vice president of transmission and distribution operations at the Long Island Power Authority in Uniondale. The Melville resident was most recently vice president of asset oversight at FirstEnergy in Akron, Ohio.
