BOARD APPOINTMENTS
Robert A. Scott has joined the board of directors at Sustainable Long Island, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to the betterment of Long Island through economic development, environmental health and social equity. The Garden City resident is president of Adelphi University.
Karen Tenenbaum has been appointed to the executive board of the Nassau Chapter of the New York State Society of CPAs. The Dix Hills resident has her own tax law firm in Melville.
EDUCATION
Kenneth McCollum has been named chief information officer at St. Joseph's College. He will work out of both the Brooklyn and Patchogue campuses. The Brooklyn resident was associate vice chancellor for information technology in the Nevada System of Higher Education.

Paul Brzozowski has joined Community National Bank as vice president and branch manager at its Great Neck branch. The Jericho resident was assistant vice president, branch manager at Capital One Bank in Bayside, Queens.
HEALTH CARE
Henry Schein, the Melville-based distributor of health care products and services, announced three new appointments. Ed Mohr has joined the firm as vice president, business development. He was a director with Credit Suisse. The New Canaan, Conn., resident will work out of the Melville office. Jim Loiacono has been promoted to vice president of national telesales operations. The East Northport resident was general manager. Grace Monahan has been named vice president and chief information officer, global information services. The Muttontown resident was chief information officer for North America.
HOSPITALITY
Felicia Jablonski has been appointed executive pastry chef at the Garden City Hotel. The Setauket resident was most recently pastry chef at The Lodge in Vail, Colo.
LAW
The Rochester-based law firm of Harris Beach has brought on three new partners at its newly opened Long Island office. Robert Chanis, a Huntington resident, was a partner at Troutman Sanders in Manhattan. Both Thomas Garry of Rockville Centre and William Garry of Brooklyn were partners at Jaspan Schlesinger in Garden City. Additionally, Thomas Suozzi, a Glen Cove resident, has joined the firm's Long Island office in an "of counsel" capacity. He was Nassau County executive until Jan. 1, 2010.
MEDIA
Native Long Islander Fred Groser has joined Melville-based Newsday Media Group as senior vice president of advertising. He was president and chief executive of ypOne Enterprises in Houston and will be relocating to Long Island.
