Long Island hires and promotions: Long Island Water Conference elects chairman

Michael O'Connell of Jamesport has been elected chairman of the Long Island Water Conference in Garden City Park. He is acting director of production control for the Suffolk County Water Authority in Oakdale. 

Public Relations Professionals of Long Island has announced five executive board appointments.

Kimberly Elardo of Bayside has been named president. She is the marketing manager for Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP in Manhattan.

Kali Chan of East Patchogue has been named executive vice president. She directs media relations for Adelphi University in Garden City.

Ellen Christie of Lake Success has been named vice president. She directs marketing at the Lake Success law firm Pegalis and Erickson LLC.

Virginia Lestingi of Oceanside has been named secretary. She directs marketing for WeiserMazars LLP in Woodbury.

Patricia Gambale, who resides in Rocky Point, has been named treasurer. She is national director of marketing at Guidepost Solutions LLC in Manhattan.

John O'Loughlin of Center Moriches has been appointed to the boards of Brookhaven Industrial Development Agency and Brookhaven Local Development Corp. He is chief operating officer and vice president of Bay Gas in Shirley.

Susan Weiner of North Bellmore has been appointed to the board of Project REAL in Freeport. She owns Susan Weiner Nutrition LLC in Merrick.

Nicoletta Lakatos of Brooklyn has joined as an attorney in alarm litigation. She is a recent graduate of University of Windsor Law in Ontario, Canada.

Kathleen Lampert of Hicksville has joined as a paralegal in alarm litigation. She is a recent graduate of Pace University.

Krizia Rivera of Queens has joined as a paralegal in alarm litigation. She is a recent graduate of St. John's University legal studies program.

Jordan Clark of Hicksville has joined as operations manager. He was a product specialist at Orange Coast Fiat in Costa Mesa, California.

Maria Contreras of Bayville has been promoted from staff paralegal to supervising paralegal in the alarm division.

Jorja C. Carr of Farmingdale has joined as an associate in the Islandia office. She was an attorney at The Law Office of Jason Tenenbaum in Garden City.

Teresa M.C. Myers of Port Jefferson Station has joined as an associate in Islandia. She held a similar position at Havkins Rosenfeld Ritzert & Varriale in Mineola.

Kristen Traganas of Glen Cove has been promoted from an associate in commercial lending to partner at Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman in East Meadow.
