Long Island hires and promotions: PL Developments hires payroll administrator

BOARDS

M'Yad L'Yad, a nonprofit organization dedicated to anonymously enhancing the lives of the needy throughout Long Island, has announced four new members have joined its board of directors. Ellen Gordon, Ronald Jasser, Arlene Kreisberg, and Nina Sandler, all residents of Dix Hills, have previously served on committees for the organization.

PHARMACEUTICALS

Yahaira Abreu of Freeport has joined PL Developments, a Westbury-based supplier of over-the-counter health remedies, as a payroll administrator. She was a bilingual candidate selection associate at Aon in Hauppauge.

BANKING

Janet Knipfing of Glen Cove has been appointed vice president-commercial mortgage loan officer of Valley National Bank in Jericho. She was a senior loan officer at American Community Bank in Glen Cove.
