Dave Widmer of Huntington, vice president of Cablevision media sales, Long Island/Brooklyn, in Bethpage.

Robert Sweeney of Lindenhurst, former state assemblyman for the 11th District, has been appointed by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo to a four-year term on the College Council at Farmingdale State College.
