Long Island hires and promotions: Susan Hughes, Bridgehampton National Bank

BANKING

Susan Hughes of Smithtown has been hired as branch manager at Bridgehampton National Bank in Smithtown. She held a similar position at Suffolk County National Bank in Smithtown.

EDUCATION

Mary O’Meara of Lindenhurst has been appointed curriculum associate of English language arts in the Massapequa School District. She was assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction in the Amityville Union Free School District.

Vincent A. Caravana of Hauppauge has been appointed deputy superintendent of schools in the Lindenhurst Union Free School District. He was district assistant superintendent of curriculum, instruction and instructional personnel.

Kimberly Skillen of West Babylon has been appointed assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction in the North Babylon School District. She oversaw secondary curriculum and instruction in the Deer Park School District.

Danielle Flaumenhaft of Sayville has been appointed principal of Connetquot Elementary School in East Islip. She was assistant principal at Setauket Elementary School.

Robert Woolsey of Kings Park has been appointed plant facilities administrator for the Deer Park School District. He was facilities director in the Smithtown Central School District.

HEALTH CARE

Dr. Leonardo Huertas of Locust Valley has been named chairman of emergency medicine at Huntington Hospital. He was chairman of emergency medicine at Glen Cove Hospital.

Dr. Richard D’Agostino of Lloyd Harbor, chief of the division of orthopedics at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, has been named chairman of its new department of orthopedic surgery.

LAW

David W. Allen of Forest Hills, Queens, an associate at Furey, Furey, Leverage, Manzione, Williams & Darlington in Hempstead, has been named a partner.

Frank Braunstein of Greenlawn has been hired as a senior trial attorney at Gruenberg Kelly Della in Ronkonkoma. He held the same position at Frank J. Laine in Plainview.

Christopher M. Opisso of Manhattan has been hired as a corporate and finance associate at Farrell Fritz in Uniondale. He was an associate at Latham & Watkins in Manhattan.
