Diana R. Karabelas was elected to the American Staffing Association's board of directors. She is deputy general counsel for Adecco Group North America in Melville and lives in Oceanside.
Paul Monte, general manager and chief executive at Gurney's Inn Resort & Spa in Montauk, has been appointed to the New York State Tourism Advisory Council. He is a Montauk resident.
Janet Gilmor has been named to the Family Service League's board of directors. She is assistant superintendent for human resources at the William Floyd School District in Shirley and lives in Huntington.
Richard G. Fromewick has been appointed executive board secretary at Friedberg Jewish Community Center in Oceanside. He chairs the tax certiorari and condemnation practice at the Garden City law firm of Meyer, Suozzi, English & Klein and lives in Oceanside.

Edward G. McCabe of New Hyde Park has been appointed director of the paralegal studies certificate program at Hofstra University Continuing Education. He is counsel at the Uniondale law firm of Sahn Ward Coschignano & Baker.

NEFCU (formerly Nassau Educators Federal Credit Union) has appointed communications vice president John Deleso of Garden City to chief information officer/senior vice president.
NEFCU has also promoted business development vice president Kristin DeJesus of Massapequa to chief human resources officer/senior vice president.

Joy A. Fallick of East Northport has been promoted from case manager and home health aide field supervisor to director of nursing at New York Nursing Care and Assisted Living at Home in Hicksville.
Valeriano Ippoliti has joined Parker Jewish Institute in New Hyde Park as director of building services. The Ossining resident was facilities director at Peninsula Hospital in Far Rockaway.

Deborah L. Rubin has joined the Garden City law firm of Valli Kane & Vagnini, which specializes in discrimination, harassment and employment civil rights violation cases. The Oyster Bay resident is a recent graduate of the CUNY School of Law.

Kayla Dove has joined the Long Island Children's Museum as director of education. The South Orange, N.J., resident directed education at the Brooklyn Children's Museum.

Cathy Youn has joined RE/MAX Shores in Massapequa as a sales agent. She was a technician for Verizon and lives in Bethpage.

Christine Hicks has joined Access Staffing in Melville as vice president of corporate sales and marketing. The East Moriches resident's previous position was director at Lloyd Staffing in Melville.
