In the last few years, some high-profile companies have departed from Long Island.  They've moved for a variety of reasons, in some cases seeking lower taxes, cheaper land or consolidation of operations elsewhere.

While there may be many factors that go into the decision to leave, there can be many reasons to stay, too. What are the biggest reasons companies remain on the Island?
