Haag-Streit UK (HS-UK), the leading manufacturer and distributor of gold-standard optometry and ophthalmic equipment, is pleased to announce it will be exhibiting at Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth) Annual Congress 2018 on 21st - 24th May 2018 at the Arena & Convention Centre (AAC) in Liverpool.

HARLOW, United Kingdom (PRWEB UK) 14 May 2018

HS-UK is exhibiting on stand F, where it will be unveiling the new Eyestar 900 OCT eye-analyser for the first time in the UK. The Eyestar 900 is a new Swept Source-based OCT device for refractive, cataract and glaucoma surgeons. Precise OCT measurements deliver elevation-based topography maps of the front and back corneal surface. Additionally, users can choose from either 2D or 3D images of the anterior segment, including the crystalline lens. The Eyestar 900 also includes biometry of the entire eye from the cornea to the retina.

Please note, this device will be previewed at RCOphth, however, it will not be available for purchase in the UK until the end of 2018.

In addition, HS-UK be showcasing a number of other ophthalmic devices within its portfolio, including the; LENSTAR biometer, Eye Cubed diagnostic ultrasound device, Eidon AF wide-field confocal scanner, BQ 900 slit lamp, Octopus 900 perimeter, Compass fundus perimeter, MAIA microperimeter, AngioVue OCT-A system, the Tango Reflex and Integre Pro-scan lasers and the Hi-R NEO 900 microscope.

HS-UK also has a special on-stand offer for any RCOphth 2018 visitors who are interested in adding state-of-the-art, wide-field, retinal imaging to their eye clinic. Any eye care professional who visits the HS-UK stand and requests a demonstration of the Eidon AF will receive a FREE retinal scan and a FREE copy of CenterVue’s ‘Clinical Atlas’. The ‘Clinical Atlas’ is a 96 page hardcover book featuring a series of interesting clinical cases, collected by retina specialists, that shows examples of the Eidon AF’s superior imaging capabilities.

The Eidon AF boasts unparalleled high-quality, wide-field, true colour confocal imaging - with added autofluorescence capability. Traditional retinal cameras use a 45° view, and may leave some pathology unseen and undocumented. The Eidon AF’s 60-150° high-resolution, wide-field view enables the user to image and document more pathologies. It provides three different imaging modalities (true colour, infrared and red-free), a unique confocal view of the retina and dilation-free operation.
