Selfies are giving some young people an unhealthy self-image and may be driving them to seek unnecessary plastic surgery.

A new study from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas found that facial features are often significantly distorted in selfies. Specifically, noses appear larger than they really are and chins look shorter. The result: doctors report an increase in requests for cosmetic surgery from young adults and teens.

The study found that selfies may be a factor in higher rates of mental health problems in this age group, including depression and anxiety, and young people “may be coming to plastic surgeons to fix problems that don’t exist except in the world of social media.”

Google says tests show merchants with the badge get more traffic and clicks.

For college students, dorm meals often mean pizza — and not much else. For those hungering for more, DoorDash has launched DashPass for Students, a $5-a-month membership plan with $0 delivery charges from scores of nearby restaurants and supermarkets. The plan includes all the perks of the regular $10-a-month DashPass, including discounts and credits on pickup orders. The plan is available for all undergraduate and graduate students.

The Dallas Cowboys struck the NFL’s first deal with a digital currency platform, signing Blockchain.com as the team’s “exclusive digital asset partner.” Cryptocurrency firms, which view sports fans as a receptive audience for digital currency, are becoming big advertisers and sponsors of sports.
