One of the most anticipated games of the year, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, was demonstrated during this week’s E3 in Los Angeles.

Honestly, I’m not much of a first-person-shooter gamer, but wow, the action scenes were some of the most cinematic sequences ever brought to a video game console. There are times when you're thinking that you're looking at a cut scene, when in reality it's the actual gameplay.

The series I saw takes place early in the game after the Russian invasion of Washington, D.C., (which is the end of Modern Warfare 2).

You play a Navy SEAL “Frost” and your mission is to take out the Russian submarines and ships stationed in New York harbor. The team is hiding in the water and after a Russian submarine passes overhead, the SEAL team invades it and turns the onboard missiles against the rest of the Russian ships. That leads to an intense water chase where your character needs to blast away at boats and fighter jets overhead.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t allowed to shoot video of the demo, but Look out for MW3 Nov. 8.
