St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue has leased new office space in Great River for 45 employees -- and will convert some of its on-campus offices into classroom space.

“In an effort to create more classroom and academic office space on our Long Island Campus, the college made a decision to relocate some of its administrative operations beginning December 2010,” said John Roth, chief financial officer for St. Joseph’s College, said in a news release.

The college will use the new office space for administrative operations, including offices for the college’s registrar, business affairs, financial aid and professional and graduate studies admissions offices.

The leased space is on the second floor at a 3500 Sunrise Highway building in Great River, shown above.

“By relocating staff to the Great River location, we are essentially creating a one-stop student service area on our main campus, which will afford us the opportunity to create six new smart classrooms that can accommodate up to 33 students per classroom as well as additional office space for faculty,” said the news release, provided by Sunrise Business Center, the college’s new location in Great River.
