Nicole Marmanillo has joined Campolo, Middleton & McCormick as an associate on the firm's litigation team, with her practice focusing on insurance industry litigation. Max Silber has been appointed director of wireless services for Manhattan-based Metropolitan Telecommunications. The Oceanside resident was most recently vice president of business development for IDT Corporation in Newark.

HEALTH CARE
Lori K. Spina has been promoted to vice president of human resources for the continuing care division of Catholic Health Services. She will be responsible for human resources at Our Lady of Consolation Nursing and Rehabilitative Care Center, Catholic Home Care, CHS Home Support, Good Shepherd Hospice, and Maryhaven Center of Hope. Spina was promoted from vice president of human resources at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, a CHS member, and lives in Great River.

FINANCE
Thomas G. Rund Jr. of Islip has joined DeFreitas & Minsky in Jericho as a senior accountant. Rund was most recently a staff accountant at Goldstein, Glatman & Filonuk in Melville.

NONPROFITS
Dr. David Tuveson
has joined The Lustgarten Foundation in Bethpage as director of research. His responsibilities will include leading and expanding the foundation's research efforts in the areas of early detection, drug development and clinical trials in the fight against pancreatic cancer. Dr. Tuveson is transitioning from his current position as director of the Cambridge Pancreatic Cancer Center at the University of Cambridge and Cancer Research in England and will be relocating to Long Island.

INSURANCE
Eva McIntee
has been promoted to field vice president, New York region at Allstate in Hauppauge. She was promoted from senior claims field director at Allstate's St. Petersburg, Fla., location and has relocated to Smithtown.
