Dr. Miriam R. Robbins of Manhattan has been appointed chair of the dental medicine department at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola. She was associate chair of oral-maxillofacial pathology, radiology and medicine and director of the special-needs dental clinic at New York University College of Dentistry in Manhattan.

John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson recently hired two new staff directors.
