BOARD APPOINTMENTS
Ronald W. Rogé, chairman and chief executive of R. W. Rogé & Company, a Bohemia wealth management firm, has been selected to serve on the Committee for the Fiduciary Standard, a group formed to ensure that investors' best interests are predominant in financial reforms. Rogé lives in Eastport.
Joe Gergela, executive director of the Long Island Farm Bureau, has been appointed to the U.S. Department of State's Advisory Committee on International Economic Policy. Gergela is a Manorville resident.
Ira Tane has been elected president of the Long Island Builders Institute. The Huntington resident is president of Benchmark Home Builders in Huntington Station.
FINANCE
Janet Rytel has joined Islandia-based Gold Coast Bank as vice president and branch manager for its Islandia location. The Centereach resident was assistant vice president/branch manager for the Islandia office of New York Commercial Bank.
HEALTH CARE
Richard O'Donnell has joined San Simeon by the Sound in Greenport as chief financial officer. The East Islip resident held a similar position at Urban Health Plan in the Bronx.
HOSPITALITY
Bill Gazerro has joined Jericho Terrace in Mineola as director of corporate sales. The Oakdale resident was sales manager at Fox Hollow Caterers in Woodbury.
LAW
Steven Sachs has joined the Mineola personal injury firm of Levine & Grossman as an associate. The Huntington resident held a similar position with Rivkin Radler in Uniondale.

Greenvale-based Laffey Associates announced three new hires. Shirley Chow, formerly of Edna Mashaal Realty, has joined the firm's Great Neck office as a home specialist. She is a New Hyde Park resident. Nahid Akins has joined the organization as managing director at the Greenvale sales location. The Great Neck resident was a branch manager at Prudential Douglas Elliman in Huntington. Lin Pan, formerly associated with RE/Max Universal, has joined the Great Neck office as a home specialist. She lives in Great Neck.
