A Matinecock midcentury modern home, built in 1967, looks frozen in time, with a style that is currently trendy. It is on the market for $1.3 million.

The architecture of the four-bedroom, 2 1⁄2-bathroom home is unusual for the area, which has mostly larger Colonials, says listing agent Gail Bushey of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty.

“It’s been very well taken care of, right down to the furniture from that period,” Bushey says.

The home is being sold by the daughter of the original owner. Bushey notes that there has been a lot of interest in the property, which sits on 2 acres, likely because the period is popular again.

“I thought maybe someone would want to buy it for the property, but it’s been very well received,” Bushey says. “All of the sudden, the style seems to be very hot.”
