FALLIN' AGAIN. There's been another price reduction on Grammy Award-winning singer Alicia Keys' Syosset house. The 2.2-acre, six-bedroom mansion is now listed for $2.995 million. The property came on the market in June for $3.85 million with Alexis Siegel of CORE Long Island.

SLAM SALE. Former tennis player Ruta Gerulaitis has sold her Centre Island home for $1.965 million, according to the Long Island Real Estate Report. The three-bedroom, two-bath Colonial had been on the market for $2.295 million earlier this year. The home has a formal dining room, a fireplace, a wooden deck overlooking the harbor and beach rights. Gerulaitis recently told Newsday that she and her husband, William Jaget, designed the garden themselves. "It helps the house look like a little vacation home in Europe." Margaret Trautmann and Linda Kennedy of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty had the listing. Gerulaitis is the sister of the late tennis great Vitas Gerulaitis, who died in 1994 after being overcome by carbon monoxide at his home in Southampton.
PHIPPS SELL. Ogden Phipps II and wife, Ashley, have sold their Glen Cove home at a loss. According to the Long Island Real Estate report, the 1.01-acre property was sold in late October for $2.25 million. Records show that’s $100,000 less than they paid for the home in 2007. Phipps is the great-great grandson of Henry Phipps, who made his fortune as steel magnate Andrew Carnegie’s business partner. The Phipps name has long been associated with Gold Coast Long Island. Henry Phipps died in 1930 at Bonnie Brink, his estate in Great Neck; his son John S. Phipps lived in Westbury House, now part of Old Westbury Gardens.
