Original woodworking fills this vintage Sag Harbor whaling cottage listed for $1.25 million, its listing agent says.

Wood trim, wide-plank hardwood floors, window frames and the kitchen door all date back to the 1900 construction of the two-bedroom, 1.5-bath home, which is on 1.5 acres.

“It’s an absolutely adorable historic home,” says listing agent Mala Sander of The Corcoran Group, who adds, “everything has great light.”

The 1,400-square-foot residence’s living room is equipped with a fireplace, and a kitchen with black-and-white checkerboard tile floors has built-in shelves and a wood countertop. Two bedrooms on the second floor share a full bath.

French doors in the formal dining room open to a brick patio and gardens, Sander says. The front yard is planted with numerous boxwoods.
