Angelina Jolie turns director
Over the weekend, Reuters reported the actress was “starting work” on a love story set during the Bosnian war of the early 1990s.
Turns out, she’s not in it.
Instead, Jolie is writing the script and making her feature directing debut, according to Britain’s Guardian newspaper. The still-untitled film, budgeted at a relatively low $15 million, will shoot in the Bosnia-Herzegovina area and “involve as many local people as possible,” Jolie said in an earlier statement.
Jolie is a goodwill ambassador for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, which initially announced news of her film.
