Former child star Amanda Bynes, who was admitted to Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena, California, on Friday under an involuntary psychiatric hold, will have to remain there at least two more weeks.

E! News said Monday it had confirmed the extension of Bynes' commitment under section 5150 of the California Welfare and Institutions Code, which allows for an immediate 72-hour hold and a hearing that can mandate additional time.

Bynes, 28, was involuntarily committed in July 2013 and underwent treatment at a hospital and a Malibu, California, rehabilitation facility for four months.
